Now Hiring: Part-Time Funeral Home Assistants
We are currently accepting applications for the next training program for Part-Time Funeral Home Assistants. This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, professional, and comfortable working in a care-centered environment, including around human remains and families experiencing loss.


Position Overview
The Funeral Home Assistant supports both the administrative and operational functions necessary to arrange and facilitate viewings, funeral services, memorials, and graveside services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and assist client families, visitors, clergy, and service providers
  • Answer phones, record first-call information, and route calls appropriately
  • Assist families during first viewings with professionalism and empathy
  • Transfer remains from the place of death to the funeral home
  • Assist with transporting casketed remains to services and cemeteries
  • Set up floral arrangements, urns, photographs, and memorial displays
  • Perform general office duties (filing, scanning, documentation)
  • Support team members and assist with other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No prior funeral home experience necessary
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • Comfort working around human remains and supporting grieving families
