Whether or not you're in the local area, you’re looking for increased convenience or you are minimizing face-to-face contact due to health concerns, Aikens Funeral Home is pleased to offer a number of virtual options to assist with planning and participating in services:
- Screen sharing by Screenleap
- Group Conference Call by Free Conference Call
- Funeral arrangement conferences conducted via Zoom
- Live streaming of services (upon request)
- Services are recorded and posted on your loved one's Memorial Tribute
Online Arranger
Using our Online Arranger can be a much more convenient alternative that will allow you to sit in the comfort of your own home, consider all your options and decide what is best for you or your loved one. Whether you are pre-planning for yourself or planning services for a loved one who has passed away, we offer a high-tech and secure online option for individuals who prefer to make their burial or cremation arrangements online. You will receive documents for eSignature, confirmation of your purchase, and a copy of all signed documents. The funeral home will contact you to complete final details.
Making online funeral arrangements is easy, but if at any point you have questions or need help, we’re just a phone call away.
Zoom
One of the few good things to come out of the pandemic is that most people are now familiar with how to use Zoom. Zoom is a great tool for those who can’t come into the funeral home or who would prefer to make arrangements from home or somewhere outside the funeral home. With Zoom, you can jump on with one of our directors and they will walk you through the entire process. You’ll feel almost like you’re still in the same room as them when you take this approach.
Screensharing VIA Screenleap
While meeting with the director using Screenleap technology, you’ll be able to see and make decisions about merchandise, floral, stationery, and other items on our desktop screen, without you having to install any software on your device. With Screenleap, we are also able to share our camera so that you are able to see who you are working with.
Conference Call
Our Conference Call line is great when there are multiple decision makers located in different parts of the world with limited technology options. We use Free Conference Call, and everyone gets their own access code; it’s quick, easy, straightforward, and convenient. When things are really moving fast, and we’re technology-challenged, sometimes the easiest thing to do is just hop on a call.
Live Streaming
Using best in class live streaming equipment, we can provide high-quality webcasts for friends and family members who are unable to attend in person to still be a part of the service and pay their respects to the deceased.
